Transport & Arrival
How do I get to the elephant sanctuary?
Guests are collected from their accommodation in a comfortable, air-conditioned 12-seat van. For the last ~10 minutes of the journey, you’ll transfer into a covered 4×4 truck to reach the camp.
Can I book a private transfer?
Yes — private transfers are available for your group for an additional fee depending on your chosen program.
Do you offer free pick-up and drop-off?
Yes, we provide free transfers within a 5 km radius of Chiang Mai’s Old City. A small surcharge applies for locations outside this zone.
Can I be picked up or dropped off at the airport or station?
Yes, we can drop you at the airport, bus, or train station. For pickups, we recommend staying in Chiang Mai the night before because we cannot wait for delayed flights or trains.
How long does the journey take?
The transfer usually takes about 1½ hours from the Old City, depending on traffic, weather, and road conditions.
Can I drive myself to the sanctuary?
Yes — if you plan to self-drive, just let us know when booking and we’ll share a meeting point near the camp for arrival.
Bookings & Payment
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 24 hours before your visit. Same-day bookings may not be accepted.
Can I change my booking date or program?
Yes — changes can be made up to 24 hours before your visit with no extra charge. Price changes may apply if you upgrade your program (e.g., half day to full day).
Do you take bookings via social media?
No — all bookings must be made through our website, email, phone, or authorized partners.
Is a deposit required?
Yes — a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of your visit.
What is the cancellation policy?
- Cancel >72 hours before your visit for a full refund.
- Cancel 24–72 hours before and receive a refund minus a THB 400 per-person fee.
- Weather-related cancellations are not refundable; programs operate rain or shine.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes — credit card payments are accepted online with no extra charge.
Are child or group discounts available?
Yes — we offer special pricing for children, infants, and groups. Contact us for details.
Visitor Requirements & Safety
Do I need to share medical info?
Please inform us if you are pregnant, have limited mobility, or have any medical conditions — you may be asked to sign a waiver.
Are dietary needs accommodated?
Yes — vegetarian, vegan, allergy-friendly, and other dietary needs can be arranged if we are informed in advance.
What fitness level is required?
Fitness needs vary by program — half-day tours are suitable for all levels, while full-day and hiking programs require moderate fitness.
Is the sanctuary suitable for children and infants?
Yes — all ages are welcome, but children must be supervised closely around elephants.
Can I bring luggage?
You may bring a day bag. If you have larger luggage, please inform us ahead of time.
General Information
Is there Wi-Fi or phone signal?
Mobile service is limited and Wi-Fi is not available at the sanctuary.
What languages are tours offered in?
Guided tours are available in Thai and English.
Do I need travel insurance?
We provide on-site insurance, but we strongly recommend personal travel or medical insurance as well.
Are special vaccinations required?
No special vaccinations are needed for interacting with elephants.
Photos & Memories
Can I bring cameras or GoPros?
Yes — but avoid using non-waterproof devices during water activities.
Do you take photos for guests?
Yes — we provide a complimentary photography service and typically upload photos within 72 hours after your visit.
Can I use the photos afterward?
Photos are free for personal use; commercial use requires written permission.
Cooking & Additional Activities
Do I need cooking experience?
No — all classes are hands-on and suitable for beginners.
Are dietary needs accommodated in cooking classes?
Yes — recipes can be adjusted for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary needs.
Will I be able to recreate the dishes at home?
Yes — instructors share tips and substitutions for cooking Thai food at home.
Bamboo Rafting
Is rafting suitable for children?
Yes — but young children should be supervised closely.
Is safety equipment provided?
Life vests are available for all participants.
Temple & Hiking Programs
Are temple entrance fees included?
Yes — all temple entrance fees are covered.
What should I wear at temples?
Respectful attire with covered shoulders and modest clothing is required.
Are temples wheelchair accessible?
Most are not — uneven terrain and steps may be present.
Is hiking in Doi Inthanon included?
Yes — guided hiking with entrance fees included; moderate fitness is recommended.
